Sundew Rising LLC was founded in 2017 by Glen Ramsay, Ph.D.  It was created to fill the absence when Aviv Biomedical, Inc. could no longer provide service for their research  instruments.  Sundew was created and operates with the full knowledge and support of the Aviv family.   Thank You Aviv Family!

Aviv Biomedical was founded in 1971 by Jack Aviv.  Through the decades, Jack, his family and employees built up the company to provide research and medical instruments to thousands of sites.  Aviv Biomedical was frequently leading the way in pushing new technology forward.

Sadly, Jack Aviv passed in 2016.  The company was not able to sustain operations without his leadership.  Aviv Biomedical operations ceased in 2018.  However, a great number of its instruments have remained in use, providing great data.  Sundew Rising seeks to support this community.

Glen Ramsay worked for Aviv for over 23 years, first as a Senior Scientist, and later as its Chief Scientist.  It was his honor to be the Principal Investigator on Aviv's three NIH SBIR grants. Aviv was a small company, so Glen was involved in many of its aspects, including Engineering, Technical Support, Service, Marketing and Sales.
